How we work
Security advice changes as threats change, so we base our guides on official Australian sources, including the Australian Cyber Security Centre, Scamwatch and the National Anti-Scam Centre, the ACCC and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. AI tools help us research and draft our guides, and we check facts against those sources before publishing.
What we cover
- Software: updates, safe app downloads and password managers.
- Privacy & Security: passphrases, multi-factor authentication, scams and data breaches.
- Online Services: backups, cloud storage, free trials and subscriptions.
Independent
We don’t sell software or security products, and no company pays to appear in our guides. We don’t currently use affiliate links.
